As a first step toward bringing back school dropouts from tribal communities into the mainstream of education, we established our residential school in 2002.
Nestled in a serene yet remote location off the Mananthavady–Kuttiyadi main road, the school is accessible only by a 700-meter uphill walk along a rugged path. Surrounded by dense forest on all sides, the campus stands as a symbol of hope in an area where basic amenities are scarce.
Despite these challenges, our commitment remains strong. For most essential needs, we depend on the town of Mananthavady, located about 30 kilometers away. Yet, this distance has never stopped us from pursuing our mission—to provide education, care, and a brighter future for tribal children.
The Vivekananda Residential Tribal School provides a safe, disciplined, value-based residential environment for tribal children.
