Access to basic healthcare is something many of us take for granted. But for hundreds of families living in remote tribal regions, even a simple medical consultation once meant traveling long distances—often at great expense and physical strain.
Recognizing this urgent need, we took a meaningful step in March 2022 by establishing the Sri Sarada Seva Medical Clinic in Niravilpuzha. This clinic was not just a facility—it was a lifeline.
Bringing Healthcare Closer to Those Who Need It Most
A Clinic That Cares
Designed to serve nearby tribal communities with ease of access, the clinic offers:
- Medical consultations
- Laboratory testing
- Pharmacy services
Patients can reach the clinic either on foot or by vehicle, making it accessible even for those in the most isolated areas.
But our work didn’t stop there.
Understanding the challenges faced by elderly and bedridden individuals, we began organizing mobile medical visits to remote tribal settlements. Today, our team ensures that those who cannot travel still receive the care they deserve, with weekly check-ups delivered at their doorstep.
Impact That Matters
Every single day, the clinic serves 40 to 50 patients, and more than 80% of them receive completely free treatment. These beneficiaries primarily belong to Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Economically Backward Communities (EBC).
Before the clinic was established, many had no choice but to travel long distances for even basic treatment, often paying beyond their means for lab tests and medicines. Today, that burden has been lifted.
The Challenge We Face
While we are proud of the impact we’ve created, sustaining this initiative is an ongoing challenge.
Setting up the clinic required significant investment in:
- Medical equipment
- Laboratory infrastructure
- Interior facilities
Now, every month, we must meet recurring expenses such as:
- Staff salaries
- Rent
- Medicines and supplies
- Maintenance costs
